Yes, commercially too. The codes are static: what you encode is in the pattern, with no redirect service that could expire.

Which barcode types are supported?

More than a hundred: retail (EAN, UPC, ISBN), industrial (Code 128, Code 39, ITF), GS1 (GS1-128, DataBar, GS1 DataMatrix), 2D (QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec, MaxiCode, DotCode, Han Xin) and postal and pharmaceutical codes.

Does scanning work on a computer without a camera?
